Substance Abuse Treatment

 

Associates For Psychotherapy offers four substance abuse programs, and a Level II Education and Therapy program for patients with community obligations. With a combined experience of over half a century, the substance abuse programs are led by Jamie McMichael (CAC III) and David Ferrell (M.Ed., LPC). All substance abuse programs are licensed by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division of the Colorado Department of Human Services.

COMPREHENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM


This State-certified program offers a four-hour-a-week, program. It is set in a ten-week model that has been designed for the working adult. The program includes individual therapy sessions and group psycho-educational and therapy process groups each week for ten weeks. The program design fits most work schedules and can help individuals obtain sobriety without the restriction of an inpatient confinement.
Individual sessions can be scheduled with a number of the qualified staff with group treatment provided by Jamie Michael, CACIII, Dianne Benavidez, MA, LPC. The program director is David Ferrell, MEd, CAC, III. This program is appropriate for individuals 17 years or older upon evaluation by the professional staff. Most insurances accepted.

DUI LEVEL II PROGRAM EDUCATION AND TREATMENT
Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm


Driving with Care Curriculum, a state-of-the-art program for DUI treatment is used in this very successful program. Jamie McMichael, CAC III has had extensive experience providing DUI treatment and with working with the legal system around the DUI, DWI charges. She is a professional who can help navigate the system and obtain compliance with this obligation.

AFTERCARE

This one hour process group is a program designed to support sobriety after our traditional ten week comprehensive program is complete. This program is intended to support the individual for an ongoing period of time, usually six months, after intensive treatment is complete. Individuals who have completed treatment at other facilities can also attend this program.

RELAPSE PREVENTION FOR PROFESSIONALS

Wednesdays 3:30 - 5:00 pm

An extended group intended to support sobriety after traditional treatment is completed. This program helps the professional transition to a life without using substances and alcohol. The state certified program uses Gorski's model of relapse prevention.
