Professional Background:
Dr. Quinn interned at Silas B. Hays, US Army Hospital in 1973. From 1974 to 1977, Dr. Quinn worked as a psychologist for the 8th Infantry Division's Drug and Alcohol Program helping to set up a rehabilitation program at the 2nd General Hospital in Lanstuhl, Germany. Dr. Quinn ended his military experience as a psychologist at Fort Carson, Colorado, after which he entered private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado from 1978-2001. In December of 2000, Dr. Quinn accepted a position at the Colorado Boys' Ranch (RTC) in La Junta, Colorado. Since that time, he has been in part-time practice in the Colorado Springs area and part-time to fulltime practice in the Pueblo, Colorado area.
Philosophy and Methods:
Dr. Quinn's theoretical orientation is called eclectic. That is, Dr. Quinn takes from various orientations such as cognitive-behavioral and Jungian analytic to formulate an individualized approach to treatment depending on the client. Moreover, Dr. Quinn is experienced in such approached as hypnotherapy and neuro-biofeedback. He enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults to bring about positive life changes. Dr. Quinn performs psychological, intellectual, substance abuse, ADHD, dementia, and alzheimer's evaluations, and is assisted in this area at times by his Associate, Emmet F. Bellville, III, MA, MA, NCC, LPC.
